Dormant Accounts

While no-one likes fees (neither do we!), there are expenses to maintain Inactive (dormant) accounts that have a positive DW Wallet balance. Because of this, Designer Wardrobe needs to recover this cost and the additional related costs we incur when accounts like these are left dormant.

If you have not logged in to your Designer Wardrobe account for over 12 consecutive months, and your account has a positive DW Wallet balance -  your account is considered ‘Inactive’. Please note "inactive" does not refer to your account being activated via email (when you first sign up). Once an account is inactive, your Designer Wardrobe account balance will be charged a small fee (of up to $7.50 each month) until you:

  • Once your balance reaches zero, no further fees will be charged. Your account cannot go into negative balance.
  • Inactivity fees are only ever withdrawn to your DW Wallet (not from any payment source associated with your account).
It’s super easy to avoid paying this - all you need to do is login to your Designer Wardrobe account within the time specified via email, and make a purchase or withdraw some or all of your balance. This will prevent any fee from being deducted from your balance.
Designer Wardrobe will contact you each month via email as a notice that your account is about to be charged the inactive account fee in 30 days time, along with details of how to prevent the fee from being charged.
