Late Returns or Damage/Loss of Items

We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for all our members, and that is reliant on making sure we have on-time delivery.

When an item is not returned to the Renter on-time by the Borrower, that Renter is impacted because they may not be able to fulfill the next rental for another member. Because of this, we rely on Borrowers returning items on-time as an important part of the renting experience.

The date to send back your rental items is communicated via email, as well as text message (SMS) reminders. In order to avoid a late fee, you must send back the products you rented by the required date, either via a DW Return Bag or Tracked Courier.

Late Fees

- If you return your rental items late (or do not return them at all), a late fee of $15 per day will be charged to any payment source associated with your account. We reimburse Lenders 50% of recovered late fees only, with the remainder collected by Designer Wardrobe to help recover administration costs associated with co-ordinating the item's return. Late fees are payable for each individual item that is not returned when due. Any Late Fees charged are at the discretion of Designer Wardrobe.

- You will be charged late fees for up to 14 days before it is considered a "Non return".

Non return or Damage beyond repair

In the unlikely event of a non-return or "damage beyond repair", you will be charged 1.5x of the fair market value of the products you ordered, less any late fees paid. You agree that a fair market value will be determined by Designer Wardrobe based on various factors (condition/rrp/age and availability). We reimburse Lender's for the fair market value of the non returned or damaged item, with any remaining recovered costs collected by Designer Wardrobe to help recover associated administration costs.
